“Welcome to our little club,” Owen says as he leads her to the entrance.
“Different. Very different. Your club, new idea.”
We walk under the huge mushroom canopy toward the door painted with the rabbit hole scene. Owen opens the door, Ingrid walks into the reception and into the gaming area. Her head tilts as she looks at all the playing card scenes hanging from the ceiling.
“You have been busy. I wish I think of this,” she says smiling.
“This is just the beginning,” I say as I lead Ingrid through to the club reception area.
“Wow. Huge cards.”
“We like that, it makes us feel very, very small.”
The doors open and we walk into the club. The music fills the background as the lasers and backdrops play against the stage. Ingrid stands and leans on one of the chairs. She glances around and soaks up all the atmosphere as she watches the girls performing one of their routines.
“I’m impressed. That fat rabbit?”
“You mean the Mad Hatter and the Alice,” I say.
“Yes. They’re huge.”
“Watch,” I reply.
The music begins to fade and Ingrid turns to me, her eyes bulge in amazement. The Mad Hatter pulls his hat from his head and waves it over the tables.
“I’m speechless. That is, as you say in the USA, ‘fucking awesome.’”
“We better get going to the club. We don’t want to be late,” Owen says.
We head back out to the waiting limos. Owen has the small packs of meds that Ingrid is going to hide before entering the club.
“We will see you there,” Owen says.
The cars head off toward the swingers club. A final escapade before the final plans are in motion for Sunday.
“Are you okay, Mikey?” I ask.
“I feel a total dick.”
“You look gorgeous,” I reply.
“This leather skirt is too short, my balls are hanging below the level of it.”
“You have some sexy panties on, no one will notice,” I say giggling.
“And this wig, how the fuck do you deal with long hair?”
I look at him and try to keep a straight face. “You will get used to it. Just brush it over your shoulder or something.”
Our car arrives at the club and the councilors SUV is parked out front. I take a deep breath.
“It looks like they’re already here. How did you get them to come Mikey?” I ask.
“I got word to them that Ingrid was coming, it was all I could think of.”
We enter the club. Mikey is a little wary as a few eyes are cast in his direction. He removes his coat and stands next to me. As a middle-aged man dressed in a short, leather skirt and slatted, leather vest, he looks okay.
“Don’t forget Mikey, you don’t have to be naked,” I say giggling.
“Thank fuck for that. I don’t have a hair on my body. Butt included.”
“You might just have to lounge around the bar area, we might have to get involved so we don’t attract attention.”
“You mean you might have to fuck in front of me?”
“Not exactly in front of you, that is unless you walk around and watch.” I laugh.
“I’ll try not to look.”
We walk into the change rooms, and I see Ingrid slipping from her dress. Fuck, she is sexy as hell.
“Long time since I did this,” Ingrid says.
“First time for me,” I reply. “I’m glad I came.”
Ingrid slips from her silky black bra and panties and turns to Owen. “You have the packages?”
Owen slips her the packs of Susan's meds, and she turns her back as she hides the packs inside her. “I feel like a drug mule,” Ingrid says grinning.
We walk through the last doors and enter the club. I look for the councilors and see them sitting at the end of the bar. Bell is walking around naked, all eyes are on her and her dragon tattoo.
The councilor’s red-headed wife and her friend are at a table and watching. Hmm, they just sit and watch. Maybe we’ll have to slip them some of the powder.
“I mingle,” Ingrid says.
She walks off and slides her robe to the floor. Guys turn their heads as she walks past their heaving bodies and I see them licking their lips.
I think she will be inundated with offers.
Owen grabs hold of my arm and pushes me against the wall. His hand caresses my breasts as I gasp for breath.
“Owen,” I murmur.
“We have to blend.”
Bell walks to us. “Can I mingle for a few minutes before I head to the bar.”
“Sure, we’re all here to have some fun,” I say apprehensively.
Bell runs her hand over my body. I feel the sensual touch of her fingers as she brushes against my inner thigh.
She whispers into my ear, “Don’t panic, it’s just for show.”
I turn my head to Bell and put my mouth close to her ear. “I think we need to drug the councilors’ wives, they will notice something is going on.”
“I’ll sort it with Mikey,” Bell says. “Time to go. Ingrid is over by the bar.”
“I think I’ll come with you, I need a drink,” I say.
I take hold of Bell’s hand, and we saunter to the bar. I slide my naked ass onto the cool vinyl of a stool. Mikey approaches in his leather outfit. He slips Bell one of the packs of drugs, and one to me.
“You both know what to do?” I ask.
“Either in the glass or around the rim of the glass,” Mikey says.
Bell and Mikey move down the bar, and I see the councilor casting his gaze over Mikey and Bell.
“Tattoo girl! I remember you,” Regine says.
“I said I would be back, and I’ve brought a friend, Soraya,” Bell says.
“Adorable, not my type, but Peter here might take a shine to you,” Regine says pointing at the second councilor.
“Hello there sailor,” Mikey says as he walks past Regine and begins talking to the stuck-up Peter.
Owen stands beside me and whispers. “How are they getting on?”
“Okay, I can hear what they’re saying, so if anything goes wrong, I can step in and make a diversion,” I reply. “You have to deal with the red-head behind us. I think my black wig is working, too.”
Owen glances over my shoulder. “Is that the wife?”
“Yeah, get them a drink and slip this. I have one extra packet.”
Owen orders champagne, and I slip him the small pack of meds. I sip on my glass and turn back to Bell and Mikey. I see Bell drop the small piece of cellophane to the floor.
One down, One to go…
Regine steps back from the bar and takes a sip from his glass. I see Mikey, and it looks as if he is biting his false nails.
Mikey don’t bite your nails. Shit no, and don’t bite the cellophane. Fuck…
Mikey pours the powder into Peter’s glass as he looks toward Owen. Mikey turns and smiles. Bell leans forward and wipes a small bit of powder from his lips.
That is all we need. Mikey to be drugged as well…
Peter turns back to the bar as Mikey makes a toast. All four raise their glasses and knock back their champagne.
Owen comes back to the bar and sighs. “They have had their drinks, but they’re so cold, fuck knows how they got married.”
I smile. “Money probably.”
I glance down the bar as Mikey’s voice gets a bit louder and he starts giggling. Regine laughs and starts singing, Cabaret.
“I think they’re working, and a bit quicker than I expected,” I say.
“What is through those doors?” I hear Bell ask Regine.
“Secrets, lots of secrets,” Regine replies.
“I like secrets,” Bell says.
“You want to see?” Regine says.
“I would love to, and my friends, including Soraya.”
“Of course, the more the merrier,” Regine says giggling.
Bell takes hold of Regine's hand and leads
him toward the black doors. Mikey comes past, pulling on Peter’s hand. “This is fantastic,” Mikey says grinning.
At least you won’t remember what you have done…
Regine opens the doors and walks inside. Bell holds the door open as Ty slips in behind her.
“That’s it then. All we have to do is wait,” I say.
Owen smiles. “We can enjoy the show. I see why the councilor’s wife is so uptight.”
I turn and see a large head of red hair between Peter’s wife's legs. She is spread on top of the table with her legs open wide.
“Eat it bitch,” Peter’s wife squeals as the red-head drives her tongue deep inside her pussy.
“Where is Ingrid?” I ask.
“Here,” she says from behind me. “I don’t like. No one has gray eyes. I love gray eyes.”
“Owen has a little gray in his eyes,” I say smiling.”
“No, not Owen. That not right.”
“My treat, you can have him,” I say smiling.
“Anyone else, yes. Owen never.”
Owen gives me a look. I don’t know if he is happy about what I said. “I’m glad I came instead of Susan. She keeps getting headaches.”
“The world is a book, and those who don’t travel read only a page.”
Owen
“The world needs banking, but it doesn’t need banks.”
We got in, and we got out. Ty had done as Bob had requested and had disabled the safety cut-off on the water pump. The mains water would now be flowing a lot faster than it had been for the past couple of days. The higher pressure would hopefully start to flood into the vault around lunchtime to mid-afternoon.
If everything worked, by the time the trucks moved and the power was out, the guys at the swingers club would be panicking and moving the cash back into the garages.
“What is the limo doing in the courtyard?” I ask.
“Mikey slept here,” Bob says.
“Have you seen him?” I ask.
“Not yet.”
I walk to the courtyard and open the door of the limo. A mop of jet-black hair is laying on the seat.
“Mikey, are you okay?”
“Did we do it?” he asks as he steps from the rear of the limo.
“Yeah, we’re ready for this evening. You look rough,” I say.
Mikey looks at himself in the mirror. “Jesus Christ, my makeup is all smudged.”
“I’m not surprised, Peter came out with his hair all in a mess.”
“Who is Peter?”
“The gay councilor.”
“Why would I have anything to do with that?” Mikey asks.
Janey walks from the office. “Because you couldn’t open the cellophane with your false nails and you bit into the packet,” she says laughing. “You drugged yourself.”
“Oh shit, I didn’t do anything, did I?”
“You will have to ask Bell, she was the only one with you.”
Mikey grabs his clothes and heads to the bathroom. “I’m going to change,” he says sheepishly as he checks that his panties are on correctly.
Out of all the days, this seemed to be the longest. The sun hadn’t even reached the highest point, and it already felt too long that we’d been walking around twiddling our thumbs.
Ingrid had guys waiting with the vans, and the cars were sat there, idle. This time just two, and Ty on his bike. We knew the route of the trucks, and we were ready.
Finally, the sun begins making its descent over Vegas. The lights on the strip start to show for what they really are. Ty has already set off from his hotel and is going to be the eyes on the ground from the casino to the swingers club.
“Are you ready?”
Janey pulls on her boots. “As ready as I’ll ever be.”
Brent walks out from the roof door to their apartment. “Are we all set?” he asks.
“All ready here,” I reply as we walk to the roof door.
“And Ingrid?” Brent asks.
“Her guys will be sitting and waiting for the power to go out. We have to hit the trucks as they open their doors. And we might have ten to fifteen minutes for each one. Basically, we have to get the cash out of the garages before the second truck arrives.”
Brent smiles. “Let's get moving then.”
“Don’t forget, I’m out of range for the radio,” Bob says as we pass through his office.
“Make sure Britney keeps hold of your cell. You focus on the water pump and the power if they try and turn it back on,” I say.
“I’m in the electric company system. One hit and half of Vegas goes black,” Bob says. “This will make a fantastic ending to it all.”
“Ending to what?” I ask.
Bob looks up from his computer. “The series of events. I’ll explain later, you better go,” he says waving his hand and smiling.
“Bob, you and your riddles,” I say, shaking my head.
“Just keep an open mind and don’t take anything personal or the wrong way,” he calls from the door.
“I don’t understand him half the time,” I say to Janey.
“I think he knows a lot more than he tells us.”
I pull the truck by the store. The storekeeper looks from his newspaper and smiles. We walk inside as he folds his paper and holds up his rechargeable light.
“I think tonight will be the last outage,” I say.
“We have had guys say that before.”
“My guy says this is the end, and I believe him.”
“I’ll hold you to that,” he says. “I see you have a different partner, this one seems more like your girl rather than family.”
“Huh? What do you mean family? Um, that other girl just works for us.”
“It must be my eyesight. You have that same twinkle in your eyes when you smile.”
You’re a nice guy, but full of shit…
“We will be back, we just have to check the equipment in the truck.”
I pull open the side door, and Janey climbs inside. She pulls out the night vision goggles and puts them on her lap. “Team one in position,” I say into the radio.
“Team two in position,” Bell’s voice says from the speaker.
“Casino truck being loaded as we speak,” Ty says.
“Ten minutes to showtime,” I say as I text Ingrid.
My cell buzzes with a response. “Guys ready and waiting. Give signal when ready.” Ingrid’s message says.
“Five, four, three, two,” I say.
“Shit it’s dark around here,” Janey says as she pulls on her goggles. “Truck moving. Reversing to the precinct.”
“Team two, the truck is being loaded at precinct,” I say.
“Casino truck on the move. Heading to the destination,” Ty says.
I message Ingrid. “Casino truck five minutes. Precinct truck fifteen minutes.”
“Okay.”
I hear the rumble of the first truck's engine as it slowly drives past the van. “Team two. Truck one coming your way.”
“Roger,” Bell replies.
“Team three in position. And something happening at the swingers club.” Ty says.
“Update.”
“Garage door on swingers club lifting. Holy moly, I see cash,” Ty says. “I need the first van quickly.”
“First van NOW,” I text Ingrid.
“Da.”
“Van coming Ty,” I say.
“I see it. They’re pulling in the drive, and four Russians have jumped out with guns, big guns,” Ty says.
“I don’t hear any shots.”
“You wouldn’t resist, these are big guns,” he says giggling.
“Stay focused. Is the first truck there?”
“I can hear it. I need that second truck quickly. The first van is nearly loaded,” Ty says.
“Where do you want the van, club or house?”
“Club, casino truck goes to the club,” Ty says. “First van moving and I see wet tire tracks by the garage.”
“It must have work
ed, the crazy plan has worked,” I say to Janey.
“Casino truck pulling into the garage. Big guns, big guns,” Ty says laughing. “I hope this night camera of Bob’s works, this is so cool.”
“You’re filming it?” I ask.
“Yeah, Bob gave me a camera to get all the action,” Ty says.
“Why does he want that?” I ask.
“Closure. He said he needed closure,” Ty says.
“Precinct truck approaching team three,” Bell says.
“The Russians have closed the club garage door. House garage door opening, the guards have their pants rolled up to their knees. They look wet.”
“Truck two loading at precinct,” Janey says.
“Next van.” I text Ingrid.
“Da.”
The lights flicker as the power begins to come back on. “Hey,” the shopkeeper shouts. “Ooh, It went off again.”
“Well done Bob,” Janey says.
“Truck two moving, team two.”
“Gotcha team one,” Bell says.
“Cash from house garage moved. Russians inside waiting for truck two,” Ty says.
“No more trucks at precinct,” Janey says.
“Team two, only two trucks copy,” I say into the radio.
“First truck at the house. Opening garage doors. Van has arrived,” Ty says. “I’m going to get closer.”
“Be careful,” I say.
“It’s okay, the Russians are like ants over the guards,” Ty says. “House two clear and waiting.”
“Team one. Truck diverted. Say again, truck diverted,” Bell adds.
“Team three. Last truck diverted,” I yell to Ty.
“Fuck!!”
“Desert road, desert road,” Bell screams, as I hear Brent start the car.
“Ty, desert road,” I yell.
“I’ll cut them off. I have the Stinger.”
Janey texts Bob. “Power on, NOW.”
A few seconds pass and the power comes back on. “All sorted now,” I yell to the shopkeeper. He waves from behind the counter as I jump behind the steering wheel. “Call Ingrid,” I say handing the cell to Janey.
I start the truck and head toward the road going to the desert.
“Bell, which way? Shit, left or right.”
“Shit. I don’t kn…” she starts to say. “Fifty-one, area fifty-one.”
“Ty, you get that?”
