“From little acorns grow big trees. Sex clubs are very similar.”

It was a card game to end all card games, and the people in the know would talk about it for years. Alex had forsaken his reputation as one of the all-time great players in Vegas to get himself out of trouble. It had taken quite a bit of help and trust from his friends, but he had done it.

Now he, (and we) could get on with the next stage of our lives. Shona had told Brooke that if she could handle the ride, it would all be worth it, and what a ride it had been. For all of us.

I was new to this family of friends, and it had all been explained over a few nights of cocktails at the newest club in Jamaica. From what had been told, I could see, this ride was not over by a long shot. Especially for me, and (hopefully) Bell.

Alex had paid back Beau and Shona with gratitude. He gave back as much of the cash as they had stumped up for him, even without Beau knowing (until it was all over) that it had been gambled. It had been a huge risk, but the end result had been worth it. Everyone had gotten everything they wanted. That was apart from Mikey. All he had was the three hundred grand that Alex had tossed on the table. Yep, three hundred big ones, and a laugh that said, “Fuck you!”

As with all good things, they have to come to an end at some point. And for Bell and me, that point was going to be tomorrow. We had an afternoon flight back to Vegas, but at the moment, we had no idea what was in store when we got back.

I look up, and Alex is walking back to the table with a tray full of drinks. “I have a plan,” he says, putting the tray in the center of the table.

“Alex, you’ve just gotten yourself out of a hole, you don’t want to dig another one for yourself,” Shona says plainly.

“No, hear me out, it’s nothing like that,” he replies.

I reach for my glass. Ah, a slow, comfortable screw.

I watch Bell as she tries to get the straw into her mouth. The rum has already started to take its toll on her, and she has become a giggly mess.

  “I’m all ears,” I say.

“I’m glad someone supports me,” Alex says with a wide smile.

“I have no choice, I have been through more plans than a compulsive escapee in a maximum-security prison.”

Alex looks at Beau and Shona, well he would, because this is something they’d know more about than anyone.

“A new club, why don’t we open a new club?” Alex says.

“Geez Alex, we’ve just got this one going,” Shona says. She looks unimpressed.

“Yes, but this would have to be different, not just a club, a casino club,” he replies. He gives a wink.

My ears prick up as I listen. If Alex is considering this, he must mean in Vegas; there’s no other place it would (or could) work, logically speaking.

“Back in Vegas, you mean?” I ask.

“Yeah. That’s precisely what I mean.” He looks like a mad scientist with a naughty plan.

I think about it for a moment. “You know, I believe that’s highly feasible.” I smile. “Well, I mean it could work, and there’s no need for it to be kept a secret. Hooking is legal in Nevada, all we have to do is be regulated.”

Beau sits in silence for a moment. “All that sounds good, and we all know that casinos rake in boat-loads of cash, but we don’t have a location,” Beau says. “And to buy one would just take an obscene amount of money, because the payback would be years just on the building alone.”

Alex stands up proudly. “We do have a location, but it will take a little bit of work,” he says.

“Where is that?” Shona asks, pricking up her ears.

Alex laughs. “Where other than the warehouse… where all this started,” he says. He laughs a more profound belly laugh as everyone looks at each other around the large table.

“You mean the warehouse where the card game was?” she replies. Alex nods. “Mikey is not going to let you have that, he hates your guts even more now,” she says. “Doesn’t he?”

“You’ve all missed one little thing,” Alex says.

“I haven’t missed it,” I say, giving a cheeky smile.

“What have we missed?” Shona asks, obviously feeling left out.

“I cleaned not just the Russians out, I cleaned Mikey out too, and that includes the warehouse. Th
at is mine.” Alex smiles the widest grin I’ve ever seen. It belongs on a Cheshire cat, not a man.

Brooke puts her glass on the table and laughs. “Alex, I don’t want to point out the obvious,” she says grinning. “But… Mr. Big Idea, I won the hand, so the warehouse is actually mine.”

The whole table erupts in fits of laughter, apart from Alex that is, he had just been trumped by the love of his life, his savior. The amazing Brooke.

“You know what I mean,” he says, now frowning at Brooke.

“Well I’m in, that’s if you need a manager and a manageress,” I say as I put my hand on Bell’s leg.

She places her hand on my hand and squeezes. “Do you mean me?” she whispers.

I turn toward her and kiss her on the cheek. “Of course, I definitely mean you.”

“Oh God, here we go again,” Shona says.

  “What?” I ask.

“The same old situation, boy meets girl, boy falls for girl. Hidden secrets come out, and we open a new club,” she replies laughing.

“I have no hidden secrets,” I reply.

“I’m not sure if I do,” Bell says, confused.

Shona looks toward Bell. “If you have any, they’ll come from that bike gang you were with. I’m sure they’re still pissed that you left,” Shona says.

“They are a bunch of pussies really, they think they are tougher than they are. The girls run that place, and without them, they’re nothing.” Bell gives an assertive look.

“See, we already have some hookers,” Brent says giggling.

“I tell you what,” Bell says, “there are some really fucking hot chicks there.”

Alex leans on the table. “So, are we all in?” he asks. “I think it will need all of us to do this. Vegas is a bit different, there is already a ton of competition.”

No one around the table says no, and at the end of the day, it will be using money that was won. Fun money! Brooke and Alex have just over twelve million to gamble on a new venture. Wow… twelve million.

“Seeing as it’s not secret, we would need a name for the club,” Bell says.

Brooke looks around the table. “Queen of Hearts.” She smiles.

“I see, there’s a bit of a link to your last card,” Bell says, agreeing with Brooke.

“Of course, that way it will always be remembered,” Brooke replies.

Bell spits her straw from her mouth. “Were you nervous when you were playing?”

“Not at all. I forgot everything that Alex taught me, and I just went back to playing strip poker in my mind,” she says. Alex rolls his eyes at her.

  “Well, it worked,” Bell replies.

  “Lucky,” adds Alex.

“It does work, you should picture everyone sitting around a table in their shorts, or naked,” Brooke says laughing.

“There is never a shortage of naked bodies when any of us are around,” Bell says. She gurgles the remaining part of her drink.

“You will have to explain that in more detail later,” I say softly to Bell.

“Don’t worry, I will bring you up to speed on what I mean,” Bell says as she kisses me on the cheek. She is totally sexy and tipsy at the same time.

“There is one other thing,” Shona says. Beau is enjoying listening to the whole saga.

  “What’s that?” Alex asks.

“Well, there’s no way that Brent and Bell can live in their shitty apartments,” Shona explains. “Everyone lives somewhere that is secret or hidden.”

“We have to find a secret place to live?” I ask.

“Yes, or somewhere just different. A regular place just won’t cut it.”

“We will check the warehouse, maybe there is something there we can convert,” I reply.

“If you want warehouse ideas for living, speak to Cally and Ty,” Shona adds. “They rock at staying secretive and hidden. Like a stealth couple.”

“Well, we did say this place will need everyone’s input, and I mean everyone,” Alex says.

“It’s a long way from being a nun,” Brooke says.

“I’m sure you’re going to have to look at your old faith,” Bell says.

“You more than anyone will know, it’s nowhere near as much fun,” Brooke says raising her glass.

“I can vouch for that!” Bell gives Brooke a very cheeky smile.

I lean toward Bell and whisper. “Is there something I am missing here?”

“Nope, there’s nothing you’re missing at all,” Bell replies giggling with Brooke.

  The mind boggles…

Bell puts her hand on my cheek and kisses me on the lips. “Don’t be so serious, we are all one, big, happy family,” she says. “Well, this is only half of it, just wait ‘till you meet the others.”

“I think I could do with another drink,” I say. “It’s weird being an outsider.” I feel like I don’t know much about anyone at all.

Beau leans forward and rests his muscular arms on the table. “You are not an outsider, you are a new member.”

  “Thanks, man.”

“From little acorns grow big trees. Sex clubs are very similar.”

  Bell

“Sand, sea, sun, and sex, who would ask for anything more?”

“You want to go for one last walk?” I whisper in Brent’s ear as I squeeze his thigh for encouragement.

He nods as he finishes his drink and places his empty glass on the table. “I sure do,” he replies. He’s so handsome. I feel our chemistry when we’re together.

It had been a whirlwind start to what was hopefully going to be a romance. As I had said in that crummy apartment, I hadn’t had many dates… not real dates. I had plenty of fucking experience, but someone to hold at night and in the morning, well, that side of it had just eluded me.

Maybe it was my time. And maybe it was time for Brent, too. I link my arm through his as we walk toward a private beach, minutes away. I love it, and it’s not too far from the club. Wow, it has a great feel and is extremely picturesque. It’s just like the name of the place. It’s cleverly called, “Paradise Cove” and it really is exceptionally beautiful.

I kick off my sandals and feel the sand pushing through my toes. I look out across the ocean where the sun should be. It has already set, but all along the cove, the trees are lit with multi-colored lights. It’s like a nighttime festival, but as far as I can tell, Brent and I have the beach to ourselves.

“What do you think about everything Alex said?” I ask.

“I have nothing to lose, only my job, and if I had to, I could always find a job as a dealer anywhere,” Brent replies.

“What about the place to live? You heard what Shona said.”

Brent stops and faces me. “I know one thing, we do both have crummy apartments,” he says.

“Mine is only for show, I have cash in the bank from Beau, I have a choice.” I smile.

“Okay, I have a really crummy apartment, and if we have the chance to find somewhere cool, I will jump at the chance,” Brent says. He actually looks excited. Even more than I could hope him to be.

I look into Brent’s eyes as I squeeze his fingers. “Do you know that you say ‘we’ a lot?”

“Maybe it’s like Shona says, it’s all happening again. We might not have a choice with the end result.” Brent smiles at me like I am the perfect woman.

“So, you mean just go with the flow and don’t fight it?”

“Yeah, that’s what I was meaning,” he replies, looking slightly nervous.

I look at Brent under the lights of the trees. He is very good looking. He doesn’t have those piercing, supernatural-like eyes that Alex has, or the rugged hair. He is rugged but well groomed.

I look behind and realize we have chatted and walked to the far end of the beach. The hotel lights shine brightly in the distance. All I can hear is the lapping and crashing of the waves. They beat down gently against some of the huge rocks. Beautiful granite ones that mark the end of the beach.

  “Isn’t it quiet?” I say.<
br />
“Yeah, it’s like we are on a deserted island, just the two of us,” Brent replies. He gives a sweet smile and I notice he has dimples.

“How hot would that be? A deserted island having to run around naked all day, just the two of us,” I say grinning.

“I’m not sure I could handle it,” Brent says, truthfully.

“Why not? I mean, would it be too much sun?”

“Not at all, you are too hot,” he replies laughing.

I shrug my shoulders. “I might have a killer body, but underneath I am still a person, you know!” I always have guys staring at me. Sometimes, I think I should have become a porno star.

“Are you saying I have to sample the killer body before I get to the real you?” he asks.

“Cheeky,” I reply. I can’t hide my grin.

“Well, there is no one here.” Brent looks around at the isolation we are now in.

“You want to get me naked in the sand?” I ask, belly laughing.

“No, I want to get you naked against the rocks,” he says.

“I have to admit, that sounds good to me unless it’s the rum speaking,” I reply.

Brent leads me to the larger rocks. He pushes me against a large, smooth boulder. I feel the ocean splashing around my feet. I look into his heavenly eyes. Brent slips his fingers inside the shoulder straps of my top then slides it down my arms. The top hangs around my waist as my exposed breasts catch the light from the glowing moonlight.
